Dorms

You may think that since the cost of rent is covered by your student loans you won't need to save to move into a dorm. This however is very misguided. Moving itself is filled with hidden costs, the containers you're bringing your belongings in, your gas, and a rental truck if needed to name a few. Every dorm will come with some barebones essentials like a bed, dresser, closet, and bathroom space. Make sure you know the details before you move in like wether or not a microwave and minifridge are provided, is the bathroom space private or shared, what are the dimensions of your room, and how you and your roomate will divy up space. Your school will provide a packing list of what is reccomended to bring and what is prohibited, but one reccomendation I have is that wax melters are your best friend if you're used to lighting candles.
